The Empire Dragon Boat Team is a group of women cancer survivors that are paddling their way to raise monies for cancer awareness and research. Their first fundraiser was held at Kenny's Castaways in New York City. The Empire Dragon Boat Team will compete in the annual NYC Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in Flushing Meadows on Sunday, August 9, 2009.
